Energy efficient products

Energy efficient products can cost as little as $5 or as much as $1000. These products can be anything from solar fountains to solar panels The end result is still the same: purchasing them will lower your energy bill. You also reduce your carbon footprint by using energy efficient products.

At the low end of energy efficient products cost spectrum are fluorescent light bulbs. These bulbs cost more than traditional bulbs, but cost far less to use. You should place them in every room where you operate a light for two hours or more each day.

More expensive energy efficient products include appliances like clothes washers, refrigerators, and dishwashers. When you purchase these items look for the Energy Star label. Energy Star is a government program that rates the efficiency of appliances.
